Salty Black Licorice
Packaging design for two local makers; one harvests sea salt from the Oregon coast and the other produces small-batch, handmade candy that makes "... candy for today that has the uncanny ability to tug at the heartstrings of yesterday". The process included taking, and creating, the original three colors from the one maker, expanding that palette to accommodate a broader design potential and then bringing it all back to three colors that give a nod to the sea-faring Nordic traditions where this particular candy is very popular. Other, alternative marks were created as part of the process.
